During the growing season, fertilize with a half-strength solution twice a month and mist regularly to maintain 40–80% humidity. Summer temperatures of 70–80°F with cooler nights (55–60°F) are ideal. In winter, this plant needs cooler conditions around 55°F, reduced watering, and no fertilizing — temperatures below 50°F can be fatal. Watch for mealybugs and scale, which this plant can be prone to due to its need for warmth and moisture.
