The bonsai tree starter gift, Winter Gem Boxwood plant, features variegated leaves and is known as Buxus microphylla (Boxleaf Japanese). This plant is perfect for enhancing any outdoor garden or starting your bonsai journey. The plant will come in a 2 inch pot and will be about 3 inches tall. If you grow in a small container and constrain the roots, the plant will remain small. If you grow in a large pot or ground, the plant size will grow as high as 5 feet.
